ncp let's play

Picture
We run weekly sports days for pre-school aged vulnerable children at community Neighborhood Care Points (NCPs) in Eswatini. Activities include playing ball games, relay running races, sac races, dance games, hoola hoop games and more. Playing fun outdoor and active games together is stimulating and helps develop fine motor skills and hand-eye co-ordination which are important in early childhood development. And of course, it's a lot of fun and for many of these children life is hard so fun is precious.

lobamba football league

We run, in partnership with the Hhohho regional football association, a weekly football league for Under 13 and Under 15 aged boys in Lobamba, Eswatini. We have been central to the running of this league since 2012 and it includes 11 teams. We also run in partnership with various high schools in the Lobamba community football tournaments for Under 15 aged girls. We work with coaches and the football association to encourage training, participation and excellence. This motivates youngsters to be active, healthy and constructive rather than being negatively influenced into gangs, drugs or alcohol. It also builds important skills of competition, sportsmanship, teamwork and grit and is a platform for life skill education. We support the organising of the league including matches, referees, transport, refreshments and prizes.  We are very grateful for the partnership and support of BOOST in this initiative.

lets swim

We run swimming coaching for pre-school aged vulnerable children in Lobamba, Eswatini. Many children die from drowning so teaching children to swim is a skill that saves lives. Swimming and playing in water is also a real joy for kids in the hot climate of southern Africa.

education

Contribute towards educating and feeding an orphaned or vulnerable child in Eswatini. We run 8 Neighborhood Care Points (NCPs) in Eswatini in partnership with local communities providing early childhood education and two nutritious meals a day to over 200 orphaned and vulnerable children in the crucial pre-school age.

poverty & hunger relief

Help provide food to a family that needs it most during this Corona Virus Pandemic. The economic havoc wreaked by COVID-19 has wiped out jobs and small businesses and many families are struggling to put food on the table. We buy food packages with enough food to last a family a month and deliver them to those families in Eswatini, Hout Bay (South Africa) and Tofo (Mozambique) that need it most.

BUILD A COMMUNITY

Support us to build small infrastructure needed for community wellbeing including classrooms, toilets, soup kitchens, homes, water supply and waste facilities. We identify needed infrastructure working with community leadership authorities then fundraise to purchase the materials and labour to complete the build while managing the whole project from start to finish with the expertise of our local team.
